The constant noise of contemporary life makes it easy to miss the most profound message the world has ever known: Jesus loves you. Innovative teachers Craig Gross and Jason Harper will separate the religious from the real as they show how this simple truth is worth our undivided attention. The authors weave Jesus' narrative with their own stories of serving among the "least of these" in this inspiring summons to world-changing faith. Join them as they encounter shut-ins, drunks, inmates, porn stars, and others while striving to follow Christ in their daily lives.
Bus Rides and Brothels
Sometimes people look at it with an odd, unexplainable stare. Completely wrapped with
When people load our "Free Ride Bus," we don’t ask people to state their beliefs before loading in. We don’t offer communion or a liturgical expression of scripture. We just give people a ride. People ask, “Why?” and our response is simple. “We are trying to share a little bit of love to show people that we care and we are willing to give.”
From a bus ride to a brothel, our message remains on point, “Jesus Loves.” It is pretty simple and it is what we sought to communicate in the pages of the JLY book. We looked through scripture and found that Jesus met a physical need before he ever asserted a spiritual solution. He used the kindness and love to build bridges, earn equity, and gain traction.
Our outreaches to those entangled in the Industry have taught us there are some people who are just working to survive. In many cases they want out, but don’t know how to find freedom. Pracitcal solutions always leads to a spiritual conversation.
We offer them Financial Face Lift, a class teaching insights on money management. We offer Homemade Drive Thru, a class teaching culinary and cooking tips to help, these often single-moms, get their feet placed on solid nutritional ground. In every setting, we want them to not just hear, but see “Jesus’ love.”
I believe
We seek to meet the most basic needs of those imprisoned by Vegas’ grip. Along the way, we find some are perfectly content with their profession. They are not our market. We look to love unconditionally those that are searching for more. We believe they are wanting, but do not know how to find Jesus. We help. You can too. Show Jesus's love today to someone by meeting a practical need. It is called 'kindness.'
This week has been amazing. Tons of people have emailed, commented, wall posted, and help spread the word of the coming release of Jesus Loves You This I Know. Jason and I are thankful to all of you. As we approach the release date, consider being part of the team that helps propel the message. Whether you are in the
To us, it matters.
Until then,
