Just ordered the book and I'm super excited. The seller for me was the audio books it came with. I've been wanting to read Starving Jesus for a long time, and I was so happy to find out that it came with it. Anyways, I gotta say I'm disappointed because the Starving Jesus file is password protected, so I wasn't able to extract it so I could download it. Is there a way I could either get the password or a way to download it??

Thanks guys for your commitment to reaching those people that I am still asking for the courage to reach. I read Starving Jesus and was amazed at your willingness to admit when you're wrong, and the lesson you took from those situations. These days, our churches are filled with excuses for why we mess up, but we never take the time to learn. Jesus loves each of us, and as I have seen by recent posts, we tend to judge when it is not our place. I struggled with the same addictions that your ministry is based around, but by God's grace and love, I have been set free. I resented those who pushed me down, saying I was going to hell for the things I was doing, it may have been true; but I know we have to meet people where they are, not beat them for being there. Only when someone truly showed me the love of Christ could I be set free. Love you guys, and thanks again for your ministry. God Bless!

It is not possible to save the soul of another when you, yourself have not been saved. A paid certificate that states you have read the Bible does not certify that you live its meaning. Those who think they know God well enough to speak on his behalf had better be prepared for the Light of spiritual scrutiny, because Higher Spiritual Intelligence sees through such false teachers, and knows the torment they will endure for disobeying the Word of God they purport to teach to others. My little note to "the Radiant One." I checked out your Google page like I know you want everyone to do. Although I have agreed with nothing I have seen you write, considering I don't think you have even read the book they are selling; by the way, your page is littered with advertising for your own cd and book, which leaves no room for you to talk of another selling something. I just want you to know that the book is all about how the love of Christ can cross barriers, and through that love, we can effectively minister to others. If you are against people ministering to homosexuals, thieves, the broken, etc. You must not have taken the time to read the Gospels, maybe Vernon didn't cover that section. If those of us who have bought and read the book have been deceived, that's for us to decide, not for you to condemn. You're like a broken record, but I love you anyway, and guess what... My life is working pretty well. It's an amazing thing to be in the center of God's Will. I think you are trying to do the right thing, but your judgment is clouded by the teachings of an imperfect human who placed himself as something more, when you should really be focusing on the perfect Christ. If Vernon was perfect, then that goes against scripture. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23. All means....all, everyone. True Teachers have flaws too, considering Christ called His disciples to go out and teach, yet they were also the ones who messed up. I don't need your address or phone number because I don't need a response from you, the only one that can tell me right from wrong is God. On your page, you speak of Buddha and other non-Christian religious figures. Why would I want answers from someone who combines the teachings of non-Christians with the teachings of Christ? Wow. I have got to say that this- dare I say- INCREDIBLY STUPID conversation has to end. Yeah, I said it. And not because I don't think any person has a right to an opinion. Like, actually understand what was being said.
It's absolutely true that if this book is blasphemy, then that's for us, the readers, to decide. Not you, or anyone else who has a thing or two to say. Why don't you challenge the authors to a debate on the Scriptural integrity of their book and they can, likewise challenge you on the Scriptural basis of your theology. Christ himself quoted scripture during his temptation, so if others quote scripture, true Biblical scripture, why is that such a crime? Also, do you really think that mocking others for spelling something wrong is helping your cause? Especially since you misspelled several words in your own writing. Honestly, I think that you should apologize to Jennie, or is that below you because God told you to mock someone else. Don't forget that those very people who hung Christ mocked him and his disciples. to all it may concern,

not sure to those of you who have read the book, who are going to read the book or to who think the book is the mark of the beast and should be burned like the scrolls in Acts 19 but did we miss the message the book was trying to remind us of? as i read internet sites and different blogs from around the world i am reminded of a time not long ago when i myself wasn't a follower of Christ, a time a looked at Christians and laughed at the hypocrisy, it saddens me so much that this is how we as disciples choose to harness our energy. tell me who here hasn't judged or condemned one of these comments.

we are missing the point. i appreciate books like these because they serve as reminders (even if some think it some form of evangelistic capitalism). reminders of how much Jesus loves me. how much Jesus loves Kelly, how much Jesus loves Jennie, how much Jesus loves each and everyone of us.

i appreciate Craig and Jason for there encouragement and the stories they shared. i do not feel like it was money wasted (as a matter of fact i have already let a friend borrow the book). but clearly the message is still not piercing our hearts.

and Kelly who do you feel here believes they already know everything? i still don't think i fully understand why you dislike this book so much. also i'm an avid reader, what are some books that you enjoy that you can recommend to me?

A true outcast is one who stands up for what is true, decent and right, at all costs to the self. A teacher of Spiritual Truth does not do so in order make friends, get rich or become famous.

Jesus truly does love outcast. one of favorite examples of this is Matthew 8 after Jesus preaches the most incredible sermon known to man, the compassion he shows for his people, the compassion he shows for the people no one will talk to to, the compassion he shows for outcasts. Jesus could have healed anyone in the world as this point, Roman officials, who could have healed someone who could further better his cause, someone like Josephus (yes I know he wasn't born yet) but someone like him who would record the things he had done, but Jesus doesn't. Who does Jesus heal:

a leper
a gentile
a woman

he healed a bunch of outcast. people most Christians wouldn't appreciate coming in the door of church on Sunday morning.

Kelly, i agree we as Christians have a problem putting masks on when we meet together. too many Christians are only concerned with status and what so and so is wearing and does this tie match my socks and sweet hair cut.... but does Jesus not love me anyway? Jesus loved outcast, true. Jesus loves sinners, true.

one of my favorite examples of this is Jesus meeting the woman at the well. he tells her about every deep dark secret that she wishes she could bury and hide in the desert, but Jesus calls her out on it. he mentions her 5 marriages and the fact that she is living with another man. Jesus does this to let her know that even though you are a sinner, I love you.

Jesus knows us as sinners and loves us. Does Jesus love me? I really do believe so.

I'm afraid Jesus' love is just too big to put in the little box we as Christians try to confine it to. Does Jesus love outcast, of course but his love stretches out beyond that. he loves those of us who are pretending, those of us who drive a fancy sports car to church, those of us who have veneered teeth and armani suits.

i hope we can all give up a little more of our selves to become more like Jesus but in doing so i hope we learn to love like him!
